our own little bubble

Claire seriously just asked, “What does ‘punched in the face’ mean?”  (B/c she overheard me telling Trever a story where someone threatened to punch someone else in the face.)  I’m really happy that she didn’t know what that meant.  She was appalled when Trever told her what it was.  So he had her punch his hand, which was more like a gentle knocking at a door.  She’s going to be in for some big shockers when she finds out about animal abuse and war.  The situation I was explaining to Trever was regarding a friend who tried to commit suicide.  I hate that I’ll have to tell her what this means someday.  Until then, we’ll keep living in our own little world of Little Bear, finger paints and fairy dust on Washington Street.  I truly treasure these days.
